Summary/Abstract: The crime of rape has undergone significant changes in the penal codes. Its original synthetic shape has changed in favour of distinguishing numerous privileged and nine qualified types. The use of the term unlawful act was abandoned in favour of violence, unlawful threats and deceit. Moreover, the penalties for this crime have been significantly tightened. The aim of the article is to analyze the changes in the shape of this crime and their assessment, especially regarding the changes introduced recently.
