Summary/Abstract: The article offers a cognitive reading of the pronouns in view of their categorical nature. Their cognitive reading offers an interesting slice of grammaticalization as a dialectical relationship between morphology and syntax. A relevant criterion for the syntactic behavior of this ambivalence is cognitive potency.
