Summary/Abstract: If culture encompasses deeply rooted assumptions, beliefs, values, norms, rules and practices, intercultural alignment through the digitisation of teaching-learning-assessment brings about a change of mindset, creates shared values, benefits educational systems, but also stirs controversy in educational practice because of the two levels of culture, such as the visible one, which includes group behaviours and actions that are more easily observed and easier to measure and change, and the invisible one, which consists of shared values that tend to persist over time and are obvious, less visible and less susceptible to change. Intercultural learning is about the development of competences, including intercultural competence, which is insufficiently integrated into the core competences of individuals in today's world, a world marked by paradigmatic shifts in which digital technologies, as educational means, facilitate the development of these competences. Where culture is seen as the basis for education, digital resources are tools to enhance the design of learning scenarios that encourage formal and informal learning within a digital education ecosystem, while generating motivation and access to culture.
