Summary/Abstract: Combustible or combustible substances are substances that, in the presence of air, can ignite and continue burning. Gaseous substances flammable in air at normal temperature and pressure belong to highly flammable substances. Due to their very nature, gas plants, gas pipelines and gas systems have always been subject to fire hazards, and are therefore major potential social, political, financial and environmental challenges in terms of disasters. Since a fire in gas pipelines and gas systems can cause a sudden rise in temperature, explosions, the potential for fire spread is extremely high and safety concerns are always at the forefront. This paper will give a brief overview of fires on gas pipelines and gas systems, which is especially taken care of in the integral steelworks, for which there are instructions for the maintenance of those systems as well as protection measures for safe work with those plants.
