Summary/Abstract: Labour migration is one of the current issues discussed today. Labour migration activities significantly affect both production and labour market economies, but also thedemographic development of countries in the long term. The international labour movement has a growing trend in the Czech Republic, it is supported by freedom of movement of labour forces and open labour market between the European Union member states, the European Economic Area and Switzerland. The professional expertise and required qualifications for foreigners play important roles in the application on labour market in the target country. The migration policy of the Czech Republic aims to promote legal immigration activities, especially persons with higher education.
