Summary/Abstract: The representations of the Passion originated in Byzantium, and became especially popular in the Gothic period. In the period of Baroque, thanks to the activities of the monastic orders, the Passion became one of the most important Christological themes. In Pažaislis' Camaldolese monastery, the pictures of the Passion are in the Chapter House. These pictures are still not analyzed as an independent piece of art.
