Summary/Abstract: XVII a. baroko altoriuose buvo ypač pabrėžiamos poreforminės Bažnyčios triumfo, Kristaus Kūno ir Kraujo, šventųjų idėjos. In the Baroque altars of the 17th century the post-reform ideas of the triumph of the Church, Christ’s Body and Blood, the saints have been particularly highlighted. These ideas reflected the triumph of the Church represented in art works: prints and altar paintings. Thus, the aim of this article is to analyze and compare the engraving from the Missal printed in 1626, Antwerp with the painting The Church Triumphant, created in 1706, located in Kaunas Cathedral of St. Apostles Peter and Paul, revealing their theological meaning and the plastic expression.
