Summary/Abstract: The present paper highlights the contribution of a few music and theology schools from Huşi Diocese in developing church music in the first half of the 20th century. The two church singing schools in Huşi and Bârlad and also the Theology Seminary in Huşi stand out thanks to the positive impact of church music schools in training remarkable church singers and cultivating musical inclinations in future priests in Huşi Diocese. Also the teaching activity of certain church singing teachers such as N. Andriescu, Vasile Ciureanu, Dimitrie N. Pipa, Alexandru Raicu, Ghenadie Honciuc (protopsaltes at Huşi Diocese), Damian Rânzescu, Ştefan Enăchescu (psaltes in Bârlad), C. Nedelcu, Gheorghe Horhocea, Dimitrie Dimitriu, D. Simionescu (conductor) must be emphasized.
