Summary/Abstract: When describing the profession or competences, the activities of a social pedagogueare based on a large variety of activities that require constant pursuit and creativity, alsobecause they are based on non-repeatable situations, on the alternation of activities and onthe need for the presence of a social pedagogue in the social environment.The main objective of the article is to provide and analyse the profession or activity ofa social pedagogue, which has the aggregate character of educational action of leisure,creation of offers for the valuable use of leisure time, counselling, diagnosis, analysis ofsituations, re-education, re-socialisation and field work. In this paper we use a theoretical--systemic confrontation based on the treatment of the studied issue, which is based on aspecific scientific discipline – social pedagogy.The professional adaptability of the social pedagogue is ensured by the conceptionfrom the individual scientific knowledge, which he uses within his practice. The socialpedagogue deepens his interdisciplinary contexts in theoretical and practical terms inaccordance with the requirements of individual and specific socio-pathological problems –"phenomena" in society.
