Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with the issue of collaboration in the provision of special educational support for pupils with special educational needs in primary schools with an inclusive approach. It presents the results of qualitative research carried out on two levels. The first level is a review study of foreign literature sources, which deals with the given cooperation in an international context. The second level presents the results of the research obtained on the basis of semi-structured interviews with special education teachers, which illustrate the view of this cooperation in Slovak primary schools. Thus, the aim of the paper is to describe the possibilities and forms of cooperation between special educators and professional and pedagogical staff in the provision of special educational support in primary schools. The results suggest that the issue of interprofessional cooperation in the provision of special educational support in primary schools with an inclusive approach is indeed topical and that cooperation is also an important factor in the provision of this support to pupils with special educational needs.
