Summary/Abstract: FOS (Français sur Objectifs Spécifiques) is an approach that tries to meet the needs of a specific audience and specific demands, and has the advantage of putting learners in real-life situations. The choice of the document from which we are going to create the teaching activities is strategic, as it will not only be the medium for the exposure and processing of the information it contains, but will also be a source of inspiration for the fixation and production activities. The aim of selection is therefore to obtain activity sheets which are also adapted to the target audience and which also correspond to their centres of interest. In our paper, we will give some specific examples of how authentic documents can be used for students of veterinary medicine or zootechnics at B1 level. In this case, the aims of our approach are to familiarize the learners with professional vocabulary: to know the breeds of pig, the terms used to describe the pig family, to recall the different parts of the pig's body and to know expressions from the pig lexical family. The communicative aim of the activity is to describe, to characterize and to express an opinion. Finally, we added an intercultural dimension: a song by a French singer with the aim to reinforce creativity by asking the learners to create a description of a fantastic animal.
