Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with the lack of architectural reviews in Bulgaria. It is argued that this fact deprives architecture of its final stage of socialisation, thus denying it the opportunity to exist in its genuine completeness. Examined in architectural theory/practice ratio, architectural reviews finalise the implementation of a comprehensive cultural process as a mediator that facilitates the incorporation of avant-gardes as recognisable in the value compendium of society and upholds the process of progressive reproduction in architectural field. Comparisons with world practices lead to the conclusion that the deficit under consideration has its roots in the national social and cultural status and its inherent involvement in the performance of inhabited environment. Physical space is everywhere a function of the forms of social solidarity, which are an outcome of the structure of society. Society has spatial logic to it and space has social logic to it. For this reason each society gets the visual environment it deserves.
