Summary/Abstract: This paper advocates the assumption that the contemporary production of architectural avant-garde owes its character not only to transformation, typical of the invasion of e-media of the field of traditional arts, but also to the fact that architectural reality, which in itself is media or such, which communicates through conveying meanings, is transformed, changing its own architectural media (i.e. means of expression) adequately to the technological progress in the field of representations. The architecture-mass media relation is not single-layer, but rather spatial and multidirectional. Contemporary architecture does not just receive, convert and use external media mechanisms, which it adopts, but transforms its principally communicative nature into a complex technological intermedium.
