Summary/Abstract: Hasan Nametak was one of the most important pioneers in the field of collecting and describing Bosniak cultural and literary heritage. He made a significant contribution to the field of folkloristics by collecting a collection of Croatian folk songs and publishing several legends, anecdotes, and funny stories in Bosnia and Herzegovina periodicals. As a storyteller and witness of the times, he also wrote several autobiographical sketches and accounts of events in Herzegovina after the arrival of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy in Bosnia. Nametak made a significant contribution to the memory of prominent Bosniak scholars from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. He also wrote several texts about prominent vakifs in Mostar and their endowments.
