Summary/Abstract: The essay is devoted to the fundamental work of the significant Russian writer Victor Petrovich Astafiev (1924–2001) with the title The Last Tribute (1957–1977). The basis of Astafiev’s autobiographical prose is not only the action, plot, epic plotline and its development, but also and above all the intensity of the moment, strong emotional richness, huge artistic expression, the bewitchment of the power of sensual, emotional and imaginative impressions of particular situations.
