Summary/Abstract: The essay is dedicated to the work of an excellent thinker of the 19th century Vladimir Sergeyevitch Solovyev (1853–1900). The name of this born philosopher, poet, publicist and critic has been nearly doomed to be forgotten. He was a supporter and follower of the philosophical views of B. Spi¬noza, G. Leibniz, I. Kant, and F. Schelling. His thoughts as a protector of faith and mysticism have stayed unknown for a long time. As a means of expres¬sion of his mystical world view he used poetry. Solovyev’s philosophical, religious and poetic contemplations are filled with deep and senseful moral vertones. The central term of Solovyev’s philosophy is “cosmic all¬ unity”, in which he sees the ideal goal of the historical process and the organic principle of all existence. In the history of Russian literature V. S. Solovyev will always remain one of the original repre¬sentatives of the art of philosophy and poetry in Russia.
