Craftsmen guilds and urban topography of Chişinău

Summary/Abstract: First part provides information on the appearance, organization and activity of professional corporations from Chişinău. The second part, dealing with urbanistic aspects shows the relations between handicraftsmen corporations and the urban texture. The research on toponymy and urban morphology is then presented. The third part details the effectiveness of the handicraftsmen teams at the end of the XVIIIth century and the beginning of the XIXth on the example of the Bassarabian vice-governor Theodor Krupenski House.
