Summary/Abstract: The coronavirus pandemic and the world’s unprecedented standstill have affected many spheres of life. The closure of schools and the shift to remote teaching, which had not been practised on such a scale before, revealed many problems at all stages of education. The pandemic forced, as it were, an abrupt transition from the familiar and applied didactics of the digital era (Polak, 2014) to the world of “total remote” education. The first studies on online education have already appeared. The article presents the results of a study of social media education initiatives carried out by teachers of Polish during the pandemic. The scale of teachers’ activity in this sphere shows their creativity and innovation, as well as their professional solidarity in the face of the challenges posed by remote education.
