Summary/Abstract: The first part of the article presents the pedagogical attitudes of Archbishop Mečislovas Reinys, which laid the foundation for the archbishop’s cherished need to move from a traditional to a free educational paradigm. The second part of the article discusses the main ideas of M. Reinys’s articles published in the “Lietuvos mokykla” publication. The article discusses the pedagogical ideas of archbishop Mečislovas Reinys, presents his proposed way of solving educational and educational problems, highlights the relevance of the archbishop’s thoughts on education and educational issues. Servant of God Archbishop Mečislovas Reinys’s article “A New Way” was published in 1925 in the publication “Lietuvos mokykla”. This is a programmatic article that summarizes the ideas of education and training discussed in several articles by Archbishop Mečislovas Reinys and indicates the stages necessary for the transition from a traditional to a free education paradigm. In the article “A New Way”, the entire pedagogical ideas of Archbishop M. Reinys are presented in a short and concentrated way, emphasizing the interaction between the student and the educator. In subsequent articles, M. Reinys returns to the topics briefly presented here, expanding them, elucidating them, and scientifically justifying them.
