THE POLITICAL AND STRATEGIC PRIORITIES OF THE EU IN THE CONTEXT OF THE UKRAINE WAR

Summary/Abstract: The war in Ukraine has multiple and significant consequences for the European security architecture, and at the EU level it has caused the worst post-Cold War security crisis. This article examines how the ongoing war between Ukraine and Russia has led the EU to take unprecedented decisions on its security, defense and enlargement. The purpose of this article is to identify the measures and actions taken by the EU to respond to the challenges of the war over the last two years and to assess its ability to withstand and respond to crises.
