Summary/Abstract: The concept of sustainability, aiming to conserve global resources, utilize them in a long-term and efficient manner, and ensure their transmission to future generations while meeting the needs of current ones, has become one of the fundamental objectives in the tourism sector. Ensuring sustainability involves long-term planning, during which production and diversity continue. The implementation of plans is contingent upon changes in sociological structure, societal awareness, economic support, political planning, consistency, and continuity. While countries across the globe sign some common decisions in these plans, they also contribute by making additional decisions tailored to their circumstances, economic conditions, sustainable resources, and educational levels. The tourism sector, which primarily shapes its objectives according to natural resources, also has the capability to select countries' historical fabric and cultural characteristics as targets, thus generating diversity accordingly. Accommodation is one of the foremost sub-sectors of tourism, and other sub-sectors are shaped accordingly to these establishments. Therefore, accommodation establishments play a crucial role in implementing sustainability through the policies they adopt, specific or general decisions related to the business, and the trained managers and employees responsible for implementing these decisions. The study aimed to determine the dimensions in which research on the sustainability of accommodation establishments operating in the tourism sector is related to sustainability in the national literature, as well as identifying developments, recommendations, and findings in the field. In this study, an analysis of research focused on ensuring sustainability in accommodation establishments was conducted, and the findings were evaluated through a systematic literature review. Due to the vast scope of the research universe, the examined studies were selected using the keywords 'sustainable tourism' and 'accommodation establishments' on the Dergi Park Academic platform, forming the sample set. Within this scope, 18 articles were selected for examination. The research concluded that sustainable investments are important for reducing costs and for market competitiveness. The safe tourism approach, highlighted among the outcomes of the pandemic crisis, is expected to remain significant in the future. Moreover, it is anticipated that digital actors such as Airbnb, Booking.com, Ryanair, Tripadvisor, and the existence of technological infrastructure investments will play a crucial role in shaping the sector's structure and directing market demand.
