Summary/Abstract: The German occupation and the establishment of the Pétain regime were not well received by most of the French population. Many of the diplomats who officially worked for the Vichy regime supported the French resistance. The present study analyses, based on unpublished documents, the way in which the French diplomats from Bucharest collaborated with the resistance movement led by Charles de Gaulle.
