Miroslav Yanakiev – the scientist, outlining the limits of new scientific fields

Summary/Abstract: The article attempts to present some of the achievements of the scientist and teacher Miroslav Yanakiev in several scientific fields: Old Bulgarian language, history of the literary language, stylistics, in particular editing, teaching the Bulgarian language at school, the use of computers for research and teaching, rhetoric, etc. His contributions in these fields are outlined, and his active and fruitful publishing activity is outlined. Attention is paid to his teaching experience and style, to the ways of establishing research methods in philology.
