Summary/Abstract: The starting point of the analysis is a passage from Descartes’ Meditations, in which he haptically examines the matter of wax and, based on this experiment, determines the properties of res extensa, including human bodies. The author ponders the question of whether a living body, with its emotions and consciousness, could be subjected to the same process. Further, thanks to the concepts of Friedrich Nietzsche and André Gide, he produces the notion of “sensual philosophizing.” It assumes that the body and pleasure serve as the main tools and subjects of philosophy. The culmination experiment of sensual philosophizing would be sexual intercourse – a doubling of subjects, objects of study, pleasure, and passive and active reception of stimuli.
