Summary/Abstract: In the literature, one of the subtitles given place under the tittle of subordinate clauses is causal clause. Causal clauses are adverbial clauses. One of the ways to transmit the causal meaning to the receiver is to use clauses formed with nonfinite verb. In this study, causal clauses which are formed with participle + (possessive) + üçün / için in historical Turkic languages, in other words nonfinite causal clauses will be discussed. In the study, the answers of these questions are searched: a) Is there nominal agreement in causal clauses formed with participle + üçün / için? b) Are there morpho-syntactic changes in causal clauses in historical Turkic languages? c) How is the order of main clauses and subordinate clauses? d) How is the subject of subordinate clauses in terms of morphology? e) How is the usage of consecutive causal clauses? In order to find answer to these questions examples, have been scanned from Orhon Yazıtları, İyi ve Kötü Prens Öyküsü, Kutadgu Bilig, Kısas-ı Enbiya, Ḳıṣaṣü’l-Enbiyā and Münebbihü’r-Rāḳidīn.
