Summary/Abstract: The Light is one of the indispensable elements of the art. The phenomenon of light always refers to the dynamism of life with its vital, scientific and artistic aspects. Light is an operative value with its intellectual and formal aspects in art. It symbolizes divinity, good, knowledge, intelligence and enlightenment in both eastern and western cultures. From past to present, light takes place in art with its conceptual and formal aspects. Moreover, it finds new forms of expression in contemporary art. Through the development of science and technology, the light becomes the core of the products which arises from the struggles of the artists with the era they live. Thus, the light becomes the witness of the inevitable change and reality in the space and time interval.
