Summary/Abstract: Article reflecting the problem of psycho-pedagogical assistance to pupils with Asperger syndrome in mainstream schools in the Republic of Moldova. According to the country's educational policy all children with special needs go to general institution, including those with Asperger syndrome. We wanted to investigate the problem of providing psycho-pedagogical assistance to students with Asperger syndrome in general education institutions. We elaborated a psycho-pedagogical assessment model, we interviewed pupils with Asperger syndrome, teachers working with this category and parents. After conducting the experiment we identified that the educational system is not able to meet the special educational needs of these pupils. We have developed a training programme for all actors involved.
