Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the issue of irregularities and impediments to receiving the sacrament of Holy Orders. It compares the legislation of the 1917 Code and the 1983 Code. Finally, the article considers the factual obstacles not explicitly mentioned in CIC/83, such as homosexuality, transsexuality, celiac disease, alcoholism and censure.
