SOCIOLINGUISTIC SITUATION IN SENOUFO COUNTRY AND DIGLOSSIA IN THE SUB-PREFECTURE OF KOUTO, BAGUÉ REGION

Summary/Abstract: The present work, which is part of the sociolinguistics of the languages of Côte d’Ivoire, aims to provide an overview of the (socio)linguistic situation of the Senoufo country. Indeed, the Senoufo country in Ivory Coast includes three (3) large regions, namely: the Poro region with Korhogo as its capital, the Tchologo region with Ferkessédougou as its capital and the Bagoué region with its capital capital the town of Boundiali. Our study will be more focused on the Bagoué region. Subsequently, our study will aim to expose the problem of diglossia in the sub-prefecture of Kouto, in the said region.
