Summary/Abstract: The article aims at presenting methodological assumptions that allow us to incorporate techniques typical for oral production, speaking interaction, and mediation into the process of teaching pronunciation. This can prove to be both an attractive transfer element and an effective motivator. Experience demonstrates that recognizing the value of a prescriptive-descriptive research approach, while taking into account neurodidactic guidelines for the ways of teaching foreign languages, as well as understanding the reservations that students most often formulate against correct pronunciation lessons, may provide an important stimulus for an attempt to redefine teaching goals today. Skills related to the proper articulation of speech sounds can be understood as a base enabling undisturbed communication, and not a goal in itself.
