Summary/Abstract: The article, based on the theory of sensory integration, addresses the issue of sensory processing disorders in relation to the educational process. At the beginning, the phenomenon of sensory processing was characterized and the disorders occurring in its area (SPD) were indicated. Next, the issue of SPD was discussed in relation to the characteristic symptoms observable in the school space, in the teaching and educational process, and, referring to the basic assumptions of constructivist didactics and inclusive education, attention was paid to the issue of a child with sensory processing disorders in pedagogical practice. The aim of the article is to draw attention to the issue of sensory processing and to indicate that problems observed in the child's education process may be the result of these disorders, thus with a child with SPD requires an individualized approach. The essence of the article is to sensitize a wide range of people to the problems manifested by childrenwith sensory processing disorders and their consequences. The symptoms of these disorders, although they constitute a significant difficulty in the educational process, are often not treated as problems requiring a change in the teaching and educational approach. This situation may, in consequence, lead to aggravating the child's difficulties and disturb cognitive, emotional, social and motor development.
