Summary/Abstract: The essence of the article is a comparative analysis of the formula of language education at thematriculation examination in the Polish language, regional language, languages of nationalminorities and ethnic minorities. Compiled for this purpose have been different educationrecords, including: the base software, information Matura Central Examination Commissionand sheets underpinning Baccalaureate mother tongue, as well as others which are within thesphere of the family of languages and dialects Slavic: Belarusian, Lithuanian, Ukrainian andLemko and Kashubian. Results of the analysis showed that the overall goal of school today isto improve linguistic and communicative competence of the student, and the matriculationexamination may be besides a response to the need to seek regional identity.
