Summary/Abstract: The theory and practice of evaluation record a great variety of approaches and understanding of the evaluative actions. They are nuanced in terms of understanding the nature of this process, which is the subject of evaluative measures, of the functions they perform, and modes of implementation. Often, the evaluation of a domain is reduced to actions such as: checking, detecting, recording. The same way, the rating action is understood as „appreciating" (good military, weak military, brave military, shy military) and „classifying" (the best, the last of the subunit, is part of the middle class etc.). Also, many practicing teachers limit the subject of the evaluative actions in school, ignoring many other components of the human resource management activities that have been evaluated: training processes, training personnel or organizational structures. The article presents some aspects regarding this framework, from its origin to the role of action, of the evaluation of the military personnel.
