RISKS, THREATS AND CRISES – FACTORS OF INSTABILITY AT THE TURN OF THE CENTURY

Summary/Abstract: The type of society at the beginning of this century is characterized by the rise of new risks, threats, crises and military conflicts. Military and political analysts argue that in the future, unfortunately, wars and open military conflicts will linger. Information technology and regional conflicts among coalitions will be the common characteristics of war in the 21st century. Instability is already gaining impetus and confrontations have become more explosive, including an increasing array of internal crises with a social, ethnic, religious and economic character. The future missions of the modern Armed Forces will seemingly have as objectives crisis control, peace enforcement and peace keeping, humanitarian and ecological actions.
