In recent years, various studies have been conducted on issues related to the development of women entrepreneurship. However, it has been observed that there are limited number of studies on determining the motivation factors that affect the success of women entrepreneurs. For this reason, the study aimed to determine the motivation factors that affect the success perceptions of female entrepreneurs operating in Gaziantep and to reveal to what extent these factors affect entrepreneurial women. Design/Methodology/Approach – In the research, qualitative research method was used and interview technique was used. In the research, using the snowball sampling method, semi-structured in-depth faceto-face interviews were conducted with a total of 30 female entrepreneurs who are members of the Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce and Industry and whose business life is at least 1 year. The data obtained from the interview was subjected to content analysis. MAXQDA 2022 qualitative data analysis program was used to analyze the collected data. In line with the purpose of the research, content and thematic analyzes were carried out in the program and motivation factors affecting perceptions of success were determined. Finding – Environmental factors affecting the perception of success of female entrepreneurs in Gaziantep; It has been determined that these are being a dynamic business, designing current products, customer satisfaction, surpassing competitors, following innovations, communicating with people and understanding what people want. When the literature review was conducted, it was seen that similar results were obtained in some studies and different results were obtained in others. Discussion - The results of the research support previous literature studies. The results obtained from this research were compared with the results of previous research, and it was seen that similar results were obtained in some studies and different results were obtained in others. It is thought that this difference arises from different destinations. In a similar study conducted in Eskişehir, it was seen that motivation factors were categorized under three main themes: internal, external and environmental, as in this study.
