Summary/Abstract: Aim: The goal of our research was to map the communication of nurse managers in relation to nurses at the bedside and to nurses in the outpatient clinic, employee satisfaction with communication with the manager and its functioning in the facility, the manager‘s communication from the employees‘ point of view. Participants and methodology: 164 respondents took part in the research. Addressed respondents worked in the ambulatory and institutional sector, of different ages, education and length of experience. For data collection, we chose a questionnaire of our own design. For the purposes of descriptive evaluation, we used the mathematical and statistical functions of the Microsoft Excel 365 program. In order to determine the statistical significance of the differences in the answers of the respondents in terms of the selected sorting features, we used the chi-square test in the case of nominal variables. The results were interpreted at a significance level of α = 0.05. Results: Based on the analysis of the research results, we found that nurses do not perceive superior communication as directive differently depending on the type of workplace. We also did not confirm the difference in communication according to the type of workplace. However, nurses express satisfaction with the manager‘s communication differently depending on the type of workplace. Conclusion: Communication is a broad area for continuous education and improvement not only for nurse managers, but also for line nurses who need communication skills and skills every day in their work with patients and colleagues. Because the well-done work of the nurse and the entire team is based on high-quality and easily accessible information.
