Summary/Abstract: The trade relations between Albania and Venice in XVlI and XVIII centuries are of interest for the economic history as by means of quantitative statistics of the three main goods: wax, leather and wool, we can establish the trade fluctuations of the flow of goods that passed through the port of Durazzo to Venice. In the second half of the XVII century, the economic growth of Albania was stable and increased in the first decade of the XVIH century. As trade relations between Albania and Venice flourished, the Venetians decided in 1671 the opening of a consulate in Durazzo. Durazzo became the most important transit port in the Adriatic for the trade relations with Venice after the decline in 1674 of the port of Split. Thus, in the period 1684-7, trade between Durazzo and Venice increased from 6.000 to 9.500 colli (packages) and during the three years 1700-3, their number went up from 10.000 to 17.000 colli, slightly decreasing in 1704 in 14.500 colli and even more in 1705 in 9.500 colli, while in 1706 were registered 8.000 colli.
