Summary/Abstract: In this article, I briefly outline the history of the development of phenomenology, which is closely related to the analysis of consciousness: the phenomenology of acts, trans- cendental phenomenology and genetic phenomenology mark the progress of the theory of consciousness. In this context, I point out the reasons why Edmund Husserl, in his last works, defined consciousness as a system of intentional functions and phenomenology as the hermeneutics of the life of consciousness.
