Summary/Abstract: The end of 1917 would find the Russian army, on the Moldovan front, in a particularly difficult situation. Among the Russian soldiers, the wear and tear of four years of war had begun to be felt more and more. The pacifist propaganda coming from the enemy had begun to take effect, bringing acts of fraternization with him to the level of a phenomenon. The political changes in Russia and the propaganda of maximalists in the trenches and garrisons of the Russian army had serious repercussions on the discipline of soldiers on the front line. The desire to export revolutionary ideas from Russia and the changes that took place there in Romania led some Russian soldiers to create a state of insecurity in many of the country’s important cities and towns.
