THE ANALYSIS OF MARXISM AND MATERIALISM IN YÜMNI SEZEN'S THOUGHT

Summary/Abstract: Prof. Dr. Yümni Sezen is a retired faculty member while working at Marmara University Faculty of Theology. In the article, Sezen's book "Analysis and Criticism of Historical Materialism" was taken into consideration and his thoughts against Marxism were analyzed. Marxism is both a philosophical movement and an ideology for the country's administration. It was necessary to respond to this situation politically and scientifically, to objectively reveal its ideological and scientific characteristics, and to pull young people away from the wannabes that once became fashionable. While revealing the insight of Marxism in scientific and philosophical terms, Sezen's starting point was Islam. Because Islam is the unchangeable source of human movements and orders. In his work, he discussed the internal inconsistencies of Marx and Engels, the founders of Marxism, and made Marx make Marx's mistake and Engels make Engels' mistake. By analyzing the inconsistencies and contradictions within Marxism with great effort and step by step, he also revealed its psychological structure. This is what makes the work different. In other words, he made a psychological analysis of the inconsistencies of Marxism. Our study is theoretical and was conducted based on sources.
