Summary/Abstract: The main purpose of this article is to present very briefly the coins discovered during rescue archaeological excavation of an ancient and late antique settlement located in the hinterland of Philippopolis. The significance of the discovered coins is of particular importance for the study of the relationship between the city and its adjacent rural territory in the pre-Roman, Roman and Late Antique periods. In the case of Philippopolis, these connections remain beyond the attention of scholars for the time being. The significance of the coins discovered is clearly evident in the fact that among them there are some that have not been found so far during archaeological excavations in Bulgaria, and others are unknown to science.
