Summary/Abstract: The goal is to present the possibilities for pain management in gonarthritis after rehabilitation including: Deep Oscillation®-therapy (DO) and kinesitherapy. Materials and methods: 90 patients with knee arthritis II- and III- grade according to the Kellgren-Lavrence scale were randomized into a Test Group (TG; n=57) undergoing DO therapy and a Control Group (CG; n=33) undergoing placebo-DO. Both groups were given kinesitherapy. Results were reported by pain assessment (VAS): before, after treatment, 1st and 3rd month. In TG, a significant reduction of pain after therapy, 1st and 3rd month at rest (p<0.001) and during movement (p<0.001) were reported. In CG, the pain decreased after rehabilitation, but the effect lasted up to 1 month (p=1.00). Conclusion: Rehabilitation with Deep Oscillation® and kinesitherapy shows significant, long-lasting three-month pain reduction in patients with knee osteoarthritis.
