Summary/Abstract: TÜMATA (Turkish Music Research and Promotion) group is one of the representatives of the Turkish tradition of musical treatment. He has adopted an approach that combines traditional treatment methods and music. Founded in 1976 as the Turkish Music Research and Promotion Group, the aim of this group is to keep this culture alive today, as it is known that music was used for therapeutic purposes in ancient Turks with a history of 6000 years. With the TÜMATA group, the repertoire, performance styles, dances, costumes and similar application materials of music therapy, which have been rediscovered in modern medicine, which are the continuation of our deep roots, are within the scope of our activities. The TÜMATA group's practices include Baksı Dance, Archetypal Movements, Image Therapy, Receptive Therapy with Makam Music and Receptive Therapy with Pentatonic Music. In this study, it is aimed to examine in depth the activities and studies of the TÜMATA group since its establishment. The opinion of the TÜMATA group institutional manager was needed to determine the situation. In this qualitative study, in-depth interview technique was used. An interview form with 12 open-ended questions was prepared. As a result of the data obtained from the interviews; TÜMATA group tries to discover and preserve the cultural heritage of the Turkish people, Dr. Güvenç conducts studies focusing on the harmony between modern medicine and Ancient Eastern Music and Movement Therapy, the trainers working within the institution consist of people with expertise in different professional groups. Güvenç focuses on the harmony of modern medicine with Ancient Eastern Music and Movement Therapy, the trainers working within the institution consist of people with expertise in different professional groups, the human voice and traditional Turkish instruments are predominantly used in training and treatments, the reasons for the application of the clients are mainly stress, chronic pain and emotional problems, It was concluded that a number of devices were used to measure the effect of the therapy given to the clients, that the clients relaxed and their self-awareness changed depending on the sense of well-being in their feedback after the therapy, that practices were carried out according to the field of expertise of the trainers and an information database was created from these practices, and that the TÜMATA group is now internationally recognized with its work.
