Summary/Abstract: The pictures and symbols that people have drawn on rocks and cave walls since ancient times to communicate with each other are examples of art that are among the first documents of visual communication. In this study, with the idea of keeping alive the artifacts that convey the culture, art and beliefs of Turkish societies, it is aimed to design knitted men's scarf designs inspired by the depictions of deer in rock paintings and to make an original sample with a production. In the study, whose conceptual framework was created with the scanning model, the inspiration point of the designs is rock paintings with deer figures. In the designs, nine rock paintings in the Kyrgyzstan and Mongolia region, namely Kazarman Saymalıtaş (4), Arhangay (3), Mandal Hayrhan (2), were taken into consideration. In the original knitted scarf surface design studies, five patterns arranged in different compositions were prepared inspired by the different limbs of the deer figure, and "Design 3", one of the knitted design examples, was produced with two-color bag jacquard knitting technique in order to provide production suitable for double-sided use on weft flat knitting machine. The details of the knitted men's scarf design and production process are presented with visual support. Rock art drawings were evaluated in different areas of use and made functional with the sample product. It is thought that it will contribute to those who want to work in this field.
