Summary/Abstract: This article deals with Lithuanian bandmasters’ attitude towards the contemporary Lithuanian wind bands situation and the perspectives of their development. Wind bands in Lithuania recently revive and change rapidly; therefore various problems of their existence and activity are very important and up-to-date. Furthermore, there is a great lack of theoretical generalization in this field in Lithuania. 22 respondents were asked to evaluate the contemporary trends of Lithuanian wind bands repertory and fields of activity and anticipate their development perspectives in the future. The authors of the article analyzed the answers and presented the conclusions.
