Summary/Abstract: The article takes a holistic view of the possibilities for transforming an educationalinstitution towards sustainability. The principles of sustainability are also presented, includingfactors that influence the transformation of educational institutions. The actions an institutioncan take to contribute to sustainable development and what benefits we can expect fromsuch actions are described. Examples of good practice for the transformation of educationalinstitutions towards the achievement of sustainable development goals are also presented.
