Summary/Abstract: Modern living conditions and the standards of the European community require a new approach in the education and early literacy of children and students. The direction of innovation today is set by the shift to learning in an electronic environment, which forms the new digital literacy. This report is aimed at finding the connection between the competences in the education of Bulgarian language and literature and digital literacy. The subject of the study is how many and what kind of dependencies can be found in the process of teaching primary school students, as well as how interchangeable digital and language literacy are in their essence.
