Information in the Context of Security and Globalization

Summary/Abstract: The development of information and communication technologies and the pervasiveness of the global information network in the people's lives and businesses is leading to a change, not only in the ways in which we communicate, but also to a fundamental redefinition to a large extent of socio-economic relationships. Developing an effective security system in a globally interconnected, dynamic and interdependent world should be a priority for every modern state, including the Republic of Bulgaria. The use of information resources can play a variety of roles, both to provide information security and to reduce the negative impact to information risks and threats. The report examines the role of information and information resources in the context of security.
