Summary/Abstract: Thearticle focuses on projects related to the art of printing published in the “Blok” magazine(1924–1926). The author traces the reasons why typography was one of the main and mostimportant fields of Constructivist art, approaching above all the issues of economics and theeconomic viability of art as raised by artists. The avant-garde projects are analysed in termsof production, distribution, goods and consumption, taking into account the historical andcultural conditions of the ideas of the Blok group, their material and technical constraints,in the context of other modern typographic experiments.
