Hospital Care – a Factor for Health Security of the Population

Summary/Abstract: Hospitals provide hospital care and perform specialized medical services, with a guaranteed hospital stay for patients. This is the dividing line between hospitals and other types of healthcare facilities. Restructuring, technological renewal and optimization of hospital care through the mechanism of the National Health Card are foreseen. Hospital care is a significant factor for the health security of the country's population, as the COVID-19 pandemic has shown the problem areas in hospital treatment, where the efforts and resources of health care authorities at all levels should be directed, and especially in hospital care.
